- No. Always make sure that you, the account owner, are the only one that knows your login identification and password.
- If you think that your password has been compromised call our support staff and they will assign a new password to you.
4. What is e-mail? (Electronic Mail)
- E-mail is a quick and inexpensive way to keep in touch with family, friends, and others around the globe.
- You can email anyone in the world as long as you know his or her e-mail address.
- There are many email programs to choose from and most are already installed on you computer system. Some examples are Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Outlook Express, Microsoft Outlook 2000, Netscape Mail, Eudora, and Eudora Light.
- Newroads technical support staff supports all of these e-mail programs.
- Unix users using Pine or Elm can find support as well.
5. How large of a file can I receive through email?
- 1 Meg files can be received into you mail box.
- We do suggest checking your mail daily to remove your mail from the email server
6. How large of a file can I send.
- You can send a 1 Meg file in most cases.
- Remember that the person that you are sending to may have some limitation on the size of their email box.
7. Is email a good way to send business or time sensitive material?
- No. E-mail is not designed for sending business or time sensitive materials.
- There are no guarantees that the email will arrive at any specified time frame.
- E-mail arrival time may vary due to loads on the mail servers.
8. Should email be used for instant messaging?
- No. For reasons such as loads on the e-mail servers, this is not practical and in turn this may cause congestion on the e-mail servers.
- We suggest using a instant messenger like AIM or MS Messenger. They are free and can be downloaded.
9. What is Instant Messaging and where can I get a utility to do so?
- There are many IM (Instant Messaging) programs that you can download from the web. These utilities let you send messages to those people you have on your list of “contacts”. You can talk in real time using an instant messaging utility.
- AOL instant messenger (AIM) can be downloaded and used to send instant messages to friends. Get AIM http://www.aol.com/aim/homenew.adp
- MSN Messenger is another easy to use instant messenger and can be downloaded quickly. Messenger also gives you options to have a PC-to-voice conversation or PC-to-Phone conversation (you will need to have your PC equipped with a microphone). Get Messenger http://messenger.msn.com/
10. How can I find what I am looking for on the web?
- There are many search engines out on the web. It is a matter of preference in which one you will use.
- Most search engines have large databases to search from. They can search the web using what you have entered in the search field.
- Narrowing your search is important. An example would be instead of searching for just “Dogs” you might want to choose a type of dog such as “Poodle”. This will help you find what you are looking for much more efficiently.

Do you have any suggestions or information you could give me on this?
