Dear Newroads Customer,

This fall is rapidly becoming the most critical time in the eight-year history of the competitive telecommunications industry.

Last March, a federal appeals court overturned FCC regulations that were the legal basis for the explosive growth of consumer choice in the phone and broadband markets. However, in June, the Bush Administration reversed its previous stance and refused to appeal this horrendous decision to the Supreme Court.

Now, the FCC is redrafting the rules that govern our ability to provide quality phone and broadband service. But under fierce pressure from the four Bell monopolies, the FCC may be backtracking in its commitment to competition and consumer choice.
A bad FCC decision could severely harm consumers and the competitive telecom industry putting jobs at risk and raising prices even higher!
The previous federal rules brought greater choice and better service to more than 68 million Americans.

Small businesses saved more than $6 billion last year from this competition. The average consumer is saving $400 a year*.

But this progress may fail if the FCC backs the Bell giants! So write the FCC today! Make sure your voice is heard before it's too late! You can email the FCC at fccinfo@fcc.gov.
